Stunning restored and renovated 1930s classic Highlands bungalow in the heart of one of Louisville's most desirable neighborhoods. Just moments from the dining and shopping of Douglas Loop and a short bike ride to Cherokee, Seneca and Tyler Parks, this home puts some of the best of the Highlands right outside your door. A beautiful front porch welcomes you inside, where stunning hardwood floors, architectural archways and recessed lighting complement the character of the original home. The custom-designed kitchen features granite countertops along with a new Whirlpool refrigerator and oven, both added in June 2026, and a KitchenAid dishwasher installed in 2023. A true standout is the impressive first-floor primary suite, a rare find in a 1930s Highlands bungalow. The primary bath was completely gutted and reconfigured to create a spa-like retreat with a no-threshold shower, heated floor with thermostat control, additional built-in storage including a pull-out hamper, and a reconfigured closet. First-floor laundry adds even more convenience, while beautiful hardwood floors continue throughout the first and second floors. Outside, the beautifully landscaped grounds and multi-level back deck create a private oasis with plenty of room for entertaining, dining outdoors or simply unwinding at the end of the day. It is the perfect setting for summer evenings and crisp fall mornings. A handsome retaining wall adds to the home's curb appeal, while the unfinished walkout basement offers excellent ceiling height and exciting potential for future finished living space. Major improvements include a new roof with 30-year shingles installed in May 2025 a new gas furnace in November 2020 and a new Carrier air-conditioning system installed in August 2023. Thoughtfully restored and extensively improved while preserving the architecture and character that make Highlands homes so special, this is a classic Louisville bungalow beautifully suited for modern living.
